Meet Our Team

SUZANNE

President and Chief Placement Specialist
Suzanne has been with the agency almost since its inception and has successfully helped countless families navigate their childcare and household support challenges. She helped build the company based on her own experience as a working mother and from three decades of learning the needs of families and those who work with families. When she’s not at work she is often found in her kitchen baking up a storm (and sharing it with the team!) or hanging out on the beach at her Whidbey Island retreat with her husband and daughters. Her wisdom, compassion, integrity and sweet nature are a credit to the agency’s low turnover and wonderful word-of-mouth. Counseling and supporting families, as well as the amazing individuals who support the families, is her true gift.

ANNIE

Owner and Founder
Before Annie’s Nannies, Inc., a solution for finding in-home private childcare in Seattle (or the whole PNW, for that matter!) simply didn’t exist and the word “nanny” was only being used in Great Britain! In 1984, Annie Davis was working with at-risk youth when she coined the idea for a place where busy families could go to find a wonderful nanny for their children. Working with her mentor, the concept for Annie’s Nannies Inc. was born!

Joined by her daughter Suzanne soon after the business’ inception, over the next 25+ years Annie led the company’s growth from her home office in Ballard to our current team of eight in West Seattle, working with thousands of local families and nannies. Along the way Annie became very active in the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies (APNA) and was the board President for 10 years. The agency has received many awards over the years and in 2015, Annie was awarded the APNA Lifetime Achievement Award. Her dedication to providing Seattle families with the best-of-the-best is a value deep instilled in the ANI team and she is our biggest cheerleader!

JENNY

Director of Temporary Services
Jenny has been living in the greater Seattle area for more than 30 years and considers the PNW the most beautiful place on earth. She earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington and a Master in Teaching from Seattle University. Jenny began working at Annie’s Nannies in 2011 and she is now the Director of Temporary Services. She oversees all things temp, including events, corporate backup, and the On-Call service for private member families. When Jenny isn’t hard at work, she has her hands full with her one year old at home. In her (limited) free time, Jenny enjoys reading, running and pinning recipes she never makes. She also enjoys traveling and has checked France, Norway, Greece and Japan off her list in recent years…but always loves coming home to Seattle.

EMILY

Placement Director
Emily has been with Annie’s Nannies since 2016 and has taken on a myriad of roles at the company, from recruiting, to on-call, to permanent placements. She loves helping families and nannies find their perfect match! She currently works alongside Suzanne on short-term and long-term placements. Originally from Arizona, Emily moved to Seattle to seek rain and adventures. She likes Harry Potter trivia nights, Netflix binges and going to the West Seattle Farmers Market on Sundays with her husband and baby girl, Bea. She has a degree in English Literature from Wells College and her work history includes being Editor-in-Chief of Arizona Parenting Magazine.

CRYSTAL

Director of Recruitment
Crystal is our Director of Recruitment and the point of contact for ANI nannies! Her passion is getting to learn the backgrounds and stories of all the amazing caregivers as she seeks out the most driven and hardworking professional nannies to work with ANI Families. Together with the Placement Team, Crystal’s goal is to find candidates their dream jobs! She looks for that sparkle and glow in nannies who’ve found their passion in a career devoted to supporting children and families. Crystal comes with a varied background of recruiting, administrative work, and teaching. She’s also worked as a Naturalist Guide, a Camp Director and a Team Building Leader. When she isn’t chatting with nannies, Crystal can be found hiking, swimming, spending time with friends, or playing with her beloved dog, Bowie. She loves to travel, dance, sing, craft, and is always up for new adventures abroad or in her beloved home state of Washington.

CHELSEA

Placement Coordinator
Chelsea joined the team in 2018 and works with our wonderful on-call nannies to place with families for temporary requests. She also works on corporate backup requests and takes the lead on hotel and visitor inquiries. She enjoys providing customer service to our families and nannies and supporting the team in any way needed. Chelsea’s background is in hospitality and tourism management, senior living, and non-profit; the underlying theme is she enjoys helping others and working with people. Chelsea is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Couple & Family Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring outside (in many forms), cooking, traveling and all things music!

JEN

Placement Coordinator
Jen joined the Annie’s Nannies team in early 2019 and has enjoyed learning the ins and outs of her new, ever-varying role. Her primary focus is helping connect families with our superb staff of on-call nannies, but she can be found supporting the rest of our team as well. Currently finishing a degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management, Jen views joining Annie’s as the perfect blend of helping families and nannies while refining her HR skills. Before joining ANI, Jen was an early childhood educator for seven years where she enjoyed learning from a variety of educational philosophies. She then spent six years as a nanny for wonderful family who she still sees frequently. Growing up in the Cascade foothills as the eldest of five, Jen has settled in West Seattle living with two of her siblings and brother-in-law; their close bond having formed during a childhood of hiking, fort building and camping. When she is not behind the desk at Annie’s, Jen is out exploring the world. You can find her giving tours of the city to kids, backpacking in the woods, or trying every restaurant in town.

AMBER

Director of Postpartum Services
After MANY years as an Annie’s Nannies superstar pro-nanny, Amber has joined the team as our Director of Postpartum Services. With a Master’s in Psychology (Childhood Development and Family Systems), she will be bringing her expertise as a Newborn Care Specialist and her knowledge of Infant Sleep and Parenting to help parents adjust to their growing family. Amber is familiar with all kinds of different family structures, having grown up with a Mom who was also a foster parent. She is a voracious reader, which probably contributed to her skipping 11th grade, and often reads cookbooks just for fun. When she’s not working, you can find Amber walking around Greenlake (sometimes twice a day!), planning her next trip somewhere around the world, or cooking up a storm for her family and friends.​

FLEUR

Community Director
Fleur has been part of the Annie’s Nannies team in various capacities since she moved to Seattle from Melbourne, Australia in 2013. A former recruiter, nanny, and childcare professional, Fleur is now at home with her almost 2 year old son and is expecting her second child, a daughter, this summer. During naps and after bedtime, she handles Annie’s Nannies’ social media platforms and various other projects. With a passion for car seat safety, Fleur recently qualified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and works with local families helping them choose, install, and utilise car seats to keep their children as safe as possible. Most days you’ll find Fleur and her family out and about in Seattle checking out the library for story time, venturing near and far for new parks to visit, or at one of the many awesome toddler-friendly museums.
